GRADING:  Letter grades (A,B,C,D,F) will be given for each     | 90 -100  A
-------   exam, but number grades  (100,99,..,2,1,0)  will     | 80 - 89  B
          be kept for averaging.  The course grade will be     | 70 - 79  C
          obtained  by averaging  the scores  of the three     | 60 - 69  D
          exams and of the homework.                           |  0 - 59  F

HOMEWORK     will be assigned every Tuesday and collected one week later in
--------  class. Assignments are graded on a scale from 0 to 30. A third of
       the sum of the ten highest scores contributes 10% to the class grade

EXAMS:  There will be three 75-minute exams,   | Exam 1  ( Th Sep 27 )  30%
