During the Fall 2002 term, students interested in taking the Putnam exam will meet Wednesdays 4-5pm in RLM 9.166. Students can sign up at one of these sessions or by contacting Charles Friedman (Office: RLM 11.146, office hours: TTH 2:30-3:30) or Lorenzo Sadun (Office: RLM 9.114.)

Subject: Putnam Exam

Would you please announce to your undergraduate classes that this
year's Putnam Exam will be on December 7?  Practices will begin
next week, and will be held Wednesdays from 4-5 in RLM 9.166.

Last year our team placed 39th in the country. That's an
improvement over our performance in previous years, but not
nearly as good as we're capable of.
