Class Time and Location:
Class meets MWF 2:00PM- 3:00PM via Zoom. Links will be sent through Canvas:

Classes are synchronous, but attendance is not mandatory and
recordings of each class will be accessible via Zoom.
Prerequisites and Restrictions: The prerequisite is one of M408D, M408L,
or M408S with a grade of at least C-.

Grades:
Your grades and class materials can be found on Canvas.

https://canvas.utexas.edu/. Grades are distributed as follows:

Homework: 30%. Homework will be turned in as
a .pdf file uploaded on Canvas. You will have more than 48 hours
to upload each homework (from Monday at 8 AM to Wednesday at 5 PM
any week in which homework is to be turned in). You may use any resources.
Your top five homework scores will be counted
towards your grade.

Exams: 70%. There will be two exams. Each exam is worth 35%.
Exams will be given
as take home assignments via Canvas. You will turn in your exams as
.pdf files uploaded on Canvas. Although the exams can easily be
completed in under an hour, you will have more than 48 hours
to complete each midterm. You may use any resources (but please
do not post any information related to the midterm on Piazza or any
other public message board). Exams are as follows
- Exam 1, Start 3/5 at 5 PM, Due 3/8 at 8 AM
- Exam 2, Start 5/7 at 5 PM, Due 5/17 at 12 PM
- Grade cutoffs: If the course is curved, the curve will not be known until after the
last exam. You are guaranteed cutoffs that are standard (93-100 A, 90-92 A-, 87-89 B+, etc.)
or better. Final grades are final and will not be changed. If you
feel extenuating circumstances were deleterious to your grade in
the course, please contact Student Emergency Services.

Class recordings are reserved only for students in this class for educational purposes and are protected under FERPA. The recordings should not be shared outside the class in any form. Violation of this restriction by a student could lead to Student Misconduct proceedings."
