I. Read Section 2.5.
- This is an especially important section, so be sure to read it carefully.
II. Do the following exercises to reinforce reading and for possible class discussion: 2.84 - 2.88 and 2.92.
III. Start on the written assignment for Wednesday.
Please note: We might spend
some time today discussing some exercises from the earlier sections in
Chapter 2 that were not discussed in class on the days they were
assigned, so be sure to come prepared to do so. (Added 2/3/06): Also come prepared to discuss the handout Least Squares Regression Line, assigned as reading for Wednesday, February 1.
