I. Review any reading and exercises from last Monday not yet discussed in class.
II. Read Section 10.2 through Example 10.12 on p. 656
- On p. 653, draw a picture to illustrate the equation summarized in words as DATA = FIT + RESIDUAL.
- Note: The ANOVA F test (p. 655) is especially important for actuarial students.
III. Do Exercise 10.29 (p. 676) to reinforce reading and for possible class discussion.
