Problem Solving Challenge

Introducing:  Dave Jensen

Dave's gonna give us candy!

Dave, Bridget, and Bridget's dad chat about total orderings.

Students and graduate student volunteers discuss the
mathematical implications of candy.

Thinking about candy is almost as fun as eating it!

This family came directly to Math Circle from their weekend
camping trip just to learn some math.

Is "love" a total ordering?

How are we going to use these total orderings to determine
who wins the election?

Dave is shocked by the students' reaction to his Ross Perot
reference.  (Perhaps Dave is getting older than he'd like to admit...)

Ross Perot?  I wasn't even born yet!

Dictator Dave poses with his "elected" candy -- Tootsie Roll Pops.
