Abstract. We develop a version with a certain $SU(2)$-symmetry of the Atiyah-Drinfeld-Hitchin-Manin (ADHM) ``monad'' construction of Yang-Mills instantons. We construct all such ``$SU(2)$-equivariant ADHM monads'' and thus obtain the following: for each second Chern number of the form $m(m+1)/2$ (where $m$ is a non-negative integer) a unique $SU(2)$-equivariant instanton exists, and is given explicitly.
