Arrival and Departure

The Austin Bergstrom Airport (AUS) is the closest airport to Austin and the University of Texas.  Transportation to and from the airport is serviced by a number of taxis, the Super Shuttle, or the Airport Flyer 100 bus.  Super Shuttle can be reached at (512) 258-3826 or 1-800-BLUE VAN or online at http://www.supershuttle.com or can be booked upon arrival.  More information about the Airport Flyer bus can be found here: http://www.capmetro.org/schedmap/?svc=0&f1=100&s=1&d=1


Hotel Information

NEW: The conference has an additional block of rooms reserved at Extended Stay America Austin on 6th Street. These are at a rate of $139 + tax per night. These are available until November 6.

Blocks of rooms at special rates have been reserved for participants on the nights of November 17th and 18th at the following hotels.
  • La Quinta Inn & Suites Austin Capitol:
    • 25 twin rooms available at $103 - $107 +tax per night (deadline 27th October)
    • Parking available for an additional $25 per night.
    • Located at 300 E11th Street within walking distance of campus and downtown Austin.
  • Embassy Suites Austin Central:
    • 15 twin rooms available at $119+tax per night (deadline 31st October)
    • Parking included.
    • Located just off IH35 and is a short drive from campus.
Participants wishing to make bookings under these arragements should contact the hotels directly, quoting the name of the conference. For the Embassy Suites this can be done online here. For supported participants, a room will be booked on your behalf.

Driving to Campus
