COVID-19 Update: Due to the COVID-19 developments, SMMG will be moved online. We hope to resume in person meetings again again in Fall 2020. We will post updates to our web site and to our email list. We will also post our plans to our schedule page!
While you wait, feel free to check out our old Binary and Number Bases, Logic, and our (very challenging!) Critical Thinking riddles. These riddles are hard, and some may take hours, days, or even weeks to solve! You are always welcome to email us questions or solutions at email@example.com!

The Sunday Morning Math Group (SMMG) is a UT sponsored outreach program aimed at junior high and high school students, their teachers, and their parents. For each program, a background in beginning algebra and basic geometry is expected, but is often unnecessary. Both programs are free and no pre-registration is required.
At a typical SMMG meeting, a UT faculty member or guest speaker will lead the group in a discussion and exploration of one of his or her favorite topics in mathematics. Location and specific days can be found here!
The Physics Circus
For younger kids (elementary and younger middle school age) the physics department runs fun and free presentations for groups. Their organization is known as the Physics Circus and here is a link to their page.
The AMC Exams
Currently, SMMG hosts the AMC 8 exam in the fall, and the AMC 10 & AMC 12 exams during the spring. Please visit our AMC page for more information about taking the AMC at The University of Texas.
